In 2019, the Arthritis Foundation will host the 2019 Live Yes! Conference and the 2019 National JA Conference in two locations.

Live Yes! Conference of Champions - September 13-15 Atlanta

The 2019 Live Yes! Conference of Champions highlights the life-changing resources and powerful connections of the Arthritis Foundation in the fight against arthritis. The Conference brings together the arthritis community and the volunteer leaders across the Arthritis Foundation who are working in local communities to change the course of the disease.    Customize your path at the Live Yes! Conference of Champions through a series of breakout sessions that have been specially designed with our audience in mind. Whether you are a local market volunteer leader, a Live Yes! Connect facilitator, or an arthritis warrior or loved one, you will be able to find the information you most want to learn. Participants are encouraged to explore our agenda and create a conference experience that's most impactful for their needs.

Arthritis United (formally known as the Gathering Conference) is an educational and fun weekend for adults living with arthritis and rheumatic conditions. The conference is filled with both professional and volunteer-led sessions that touch on a variety of topics – from emotional challenges to sessions just for your loved ones, you are bound to learn and grow at this conference.

What a special conference the 10th Annual National Gathering was! G10 was held at the Marriott Kansas City Overland Park Kansas City, Kansas on June 9-11, 2017. Highlights of the conference included: keynote speaker actor Clark Middleton, who shared his story of living with JRA since 4, and Dr. Lindsey Colman McKernan’s general session on Coping with Grief and Loss: How Mindfulness Can Help. Some of the wonderful breakout were: Creative Art Therapies, Patient-Centered Care / Shared Decision-making, ADA in the Workplace, Pain Management, Parenting, and Communication with Family and Friends. Many attendees stayed for the optional Monday excursion to explore Kansas City via a tour trolley and enjoying world famous Jack Stack’s BBQ.

Hot chicken and line dancing! 9th Annual National Gathering Conference took place at the Radisson Airport Hotel, Nashville Tennessee on May 20 - 22, 2016. We opened the conference Saturday morning with Nascar Todd Peck presenting "Arthritis Can't Slow Me Down". Todd shared how his diagnosed at 15 lead him to Nascar. There was an impressive lineup of breakout topics including: Service Dogs: What Can They Do for Us, the Latest on Joint Replacement, Yoga for Arthritis, The Rheumatic Disease--Osteoporosis Connection, and Tips from an Occupational Therapist. The Monday excursion was a bus tour of the sights and sounds of Nashville.

The 8th Annual National Gathering Conference held at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee Wisconsin on May 22 - 24, 2015. It was the Gathering by the Lake. Highlights of the weekend included Saturday keynote actress, former professional triathlete and patient advocate Angela Durazo who shared her story of survival, competition, and most importantly perseverance. Breakout Highlights were: The Holistic Experience: One Woman’s Journey, Sex and Arthritis: 5 Steps for Increased Sexual Fulfillment, Arthritis Advocacy in Action, Writing for Wellness, Acupuncture, and Controlling Fatigue. G8 attendees enjoyed a very special excursion of a Riverboat Tour and lunch around Lake Michigan!

Back to where it all started! 7th Annual National Gathering Conference took place at the University Marriott Tucson, Arizona on June 13 -15, 2014. Over the weekend we celebrated how far we have come! It was back in 2007, Tucson is where the first Gathering took place.  G7 sessions included “Overcoming attitudinal barriers” discussion groups on the topics of Living with a Hidden Disease, and Living with a Visible Disease. Breakout sessions such as SSDI “When do I need a Lawyer?, Therapeutic Humor in Coping, RA and Athletics, Managing Pain in Chronic Arthritis, The Science of Personal Interaction and Human Touch, and Art Therapy: Mandalas, made for a weekend to remember!

The 6th annual Arthritis Introspective National Gathering took place in Scottsdale, Arizona at the Chaparral Suites Resort on Friday May 17, 2013 through Sunday May 19, 2013 with opportunities to participate in pre and post conference excursions. Themed "You Rock!!" the conference showcased educational awareness with fifteen sessions. The topics included self-advocacy, wellness of the mind and biologic medications, just to name a few.

The 2012 AI National Gathering Conference (G5), held in Sugar Land, TX marked the fifth anniversary of the AI National Gathering. This was a milestone for Arthritis Introspective and we celebrated in style, by celebrating Sweet Memories of past Gatherings and creating an entire basket of new ones.

The 2011 AI National Gathering Conference (G4) in Tempe, AZ was a weekend to Give, Grow, Gain & Gather and that is exactly what we did. The fourth annual AI Gathering was the largest event we had seen yet. At least 50% of the participants were first time attendees and they joined in and easily became part of the large AI Gathering community. Not only were the educational sessions interactive and informative, the pre and post event excursions, sailing on Tempe Town Lake and glider rides with the Tucson Soaring Club, were both exhilarating days to remember.
