Live Yes! Connect launched: 2018

Live Yes! Connect Facilitator: Christine           Type of Arthritis: Psoriatic Arthritis

About this Live Yes! Connect Group:

My vision is for this Live Yes! Connect group is  to provide a positive outlet for people affected by arthritis; strengthen bonds and provide resources to each other from personal experience

About: Christine

I was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and spondyloarthropathy when I was 12 and diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis about 8 years after that. I had three surgeries and a major flare while I was in college and had to go part-time, withdraw from classes, and commute. But 6 years after I started, I graduated! I started working part-time at a nonprofit to see how I would do health-wise transitioning from school to work. I now work full-time, am married, with two rescue dogs. Last year, I struggled with my arthritis but now started a new medication which has been successful (fingers crossed and minus side effects) and have been able to volunteer more again. My philosophy is if you have more good days than bad, you're doing well. But I also have experienced more bad days than good and I want to be there for others who are going through that.
