Arthritis Support Network launched: 2018

Arthritis Support Network Leader: Jackie         Type of Arthritis: Rheumatoid Arthritis

About this Arthritis Support Network:

The desire I have for this ASN is to see a group of compassionate people, understanding of each other’s condition and motivated to share their ups and downs handling and accepting the disease in such a way as to encourage one another and lift each other. To develop teamwork and hopefully friendships. My hope is to develop the support group into an exciting and desirable group that members want to participate whether it’s a seminar meeting, a testimonial night or open discussion session. I really want each participant to grasp they are not alone and what they go through, we all go through in one form or another.

About: Jackie:

I am just over the 50 year age mark. I am the mother of 2 adult children. I have both a full and part time job. My current joys are comedy shows, live or TV, love to laugh, it is my preferred medicine. I like to read and I love to dance. I like to help people, I may not have all the answers, but if it will help someone present state, I try as much as possible to assist in finding answers.

I wanted to participate in a face to face support group and found none available near me. I knew in my heart I could not be the only one with questions about my condition or the only one suffering. My hope for help was so great I felt moved to take a leap and get involved. Someone has to be first. I want to share and i want to learn from the many who share in RA and other auto immune diseases.

Thank you Jackie for wanting to help others!  Something I love to do!  This Wild Journey we call “Life” is really showing me that there is something out there that can knock me down and stop me in my tracks.  This is heartbreaking to me at the young age of 58.  Unfortunately, this disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, killed my Mother but not before it tortured her.  I now understand that word on a whole different realm.....this disease does not make any sense and I am hoping we will all find something truly stand out to give us that Ah Ha Moment and then approach our medical specialists and hope to help others....I am a dreamer and it has worked for me.  To all suffering, you are not alone and we can try to help ourselves and others.  Thank You again Jackie for starting this group up.  I live pretty far away but I will dedicate to being here on this side to listen to all and share.  Peace & Love,
