JA Parent Support Network launched: 2018
JA Parent Support Network Leader: Kari
About this JA Parent Support Network:
To help support parents who have a child with rheumatic disease understand ways of improving their child’s life with pain and help educate them about the disease. JA Parent Support Networks let individuals know that they are not alone and gives them a voice to share with others.
My youngest, Cassidy was diagnosed with JIA in August of 2014, weeks before her fourth birthday. She's been through many meds and therapies and we have yet to find the key to unlocking medicated remission but we still have the hope that one day we will. Her biggest cheerleader is her sister who has made it her personal mission to let the world know that kids gets arthritis too! We maintain a facebook page honoring Cassidy's love for all things Minnie Mouse (properly named Minnie but Mighty) to keep family and friends up to date but to also raise awareness about JA and the impact it has on the entire family. I look forward to meeting other families who get what we are going through!
