Live Yes! Connect launched: 2016
Live Yes! Connect Facilitator: Casey Type of Arthritis: Rheumatoid Arthritis
About this Live Yes! Connect Group:
Our vision for this Live Yes! Connect is for it to be a place where we can come together and openly talk about our thoughts without any fear of judgment. We want to help those with Arthritis to get support, information, and education. The more we know and better equipped we are, the better we can advocate for ourselves and manage a chronic illness. It will be a safe place where having fun, thinking with an open mind & supporting each other are the only requirements. We are so excited to be leading a group in Central Al and can't wait to meet all of you!
Hi everyone! I'm Casey and I'm in my 30s. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis in 2008. I enjoy painting and coloring. I can't do everything I could before but I try and do most of what I can. I'm on disability so I'm home all the time. I have always wanted to help people and I'm happy to have this chance.
I wanted to become a facilitator because initially I didn't realize there was help and support for someone like me until I attended the Arthritis Introspective Gathering Conference G9. The overwhelming support and friendships I made in that one weekend made me realize a group had to be set up in Alabama for people with Arthritis.
